What are you opening times?
We have electricians on call 24 hours per day, 7 Days a week.
Can you cap your hourly rates?
Yes we cap our rates at 5 hours, this then reverts to our day rate.
Are you VAT registered?
Yes, Our VAT number is on our invoice for your convenience.
Are you registered to a competent person scheme or part P?
Yes! all our Electricians at VCO are registered to a competent person scheme whether this be NICEIC,NAPIT, STROMA or ELECSA. They are also fully insured.

What is a EICR?
An Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) is an official document that is produced following an assessment an electrical installation, either domestic, commercial or industrial premises require inspection with varying degrees of frequency depending on the premises.
How long does an electrical safety check take?
It is generally recommended that an EICR is carried out every ten years (five for privately rented properties) or when there is a change of occupancy in a dwelling. Typically an EICR will take around 3-4 hours to complete, depending on the size of a property and the number of circuits requiring testing.
Do landlords need an electrical certificate?
Landlords are required by law to ensure: That the electrical installation in a rented property is safe when tenants move in and maintained in a safe condition throughout its duration.
Do landlords need to PAT test electrical items?
As a landlord, your duty is to ensure the safety of the electrical appliance in your property. There is no legal requirement to do a PAT test periodically unless your property is a House in Multiple Occupancy.
